A complex portrait of former hangman turned pious Jew, Shalom Nagar. During post-WWII trials, Nagar served as a guard at the trial of Adolf Eichmann- the Nazi chief who organized the mass transportation of Jews to concentration camps. The Hangman explores this watershed moment in Nagar’s life and religion.
