Animal activists have long battled to stop testing on animals. But now, some scientists are adding their voice to the debate, saying that the results of many animal experiments are inaccurate, biased or plain useless. They claim that better alternatives to animal testing exist. So why are pharmaceutical companies lobbying to stop alternative tests being used?
On the Wild Side will attempt to analyze what drives people to kill for entertainment or sport. Additionally, we will bring to light the power that hunting lobbies have on law makers and the media. Most specifically we will show how their propaganda helps to create acceptance of hunting and the unfounded fear of predators. The documentary will investigate and expose the effects that hunting has on local ecosystems, wildlife populations, and endangered species.
